On the 4th of July

4 luglio, Indipendence Day negli USA. Festa grande.
Se può interessare è anche il giorno in cui la Terra è più lontana dal Sole.
Detto questo il mio post e relativo titolo non sono un tributo agli Stati UIniti o alla loro festa bensi ad uno dei miei artisti preferiti in assoluto, uno strepitoso songrwriter americano, chitarrista eccelso, grande interprete : James Taylor. (Fire and Rain, Country Road, Handy Man, Carolina in my mind, Sweet baby James per citarne alcune…)

Mille e uno sono i motivi per questa mia passione ma ne parleremo un’altra volta. Per ora godetevi questa “On The 4th of July“  tratta da uno dei suoi recenti album (October Road) e dedicata alla sua attuale moglie – Caroline (“Kim”) Smedvig – come un po tutto l’album avendone ricevuto grande ispirazione. Un grandissimo artista, un bellissimo album, una delicatissima canzone. E, se vi capita, portatevi a casa un qualsiasi Best di JT ..vi farà solo bene alla salute. Buon ascolto!
